INTRODUCING THE WILD WORDS BOOK EXCHANGE!
How would you like to read a copy of Wild Words before it’s released?
And no, not a PDF copy on your computer, but a hold-it-in-your-hand book? This is your chance!
I have a handful of ARCs (advanced reader copies) that I’d love to circulate among a select group of readers between now and publication day.
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Sign up to participate.
Step 2: I’ll send out books to the first group of people on the list.
Step 3: When you finish reading (ideally within 1 week), email me and I’ll give you the name of the next person to send the book to.
Step 4: While it’s fresh in your mind, write a short review (2-3 sentences, that’s it!) and save it for launch time.
Step 6: On the day of the launch (October 15) post your review on Amazon and GoodReads.
By participating, you’re agreeing to:
Sign up for Nicole’s Book Launch Team (aka inner circle) and receive occasional emails about how to spread the word.
Write and post a review of the book on Amazon and/or Goodreads on October 15.
Read the book in a timely manner (ideally 1 week) before sending it to the next reader.
Keep the book and its contents confidential—no sharing on your blog, social media, or other online outlets… for now.
When do I need to post a review?
The easiest thing to do is write down some notes as soon as you’re done reading. On the day of publication (October 15) go to Amazon and Goodreads to post your review. Easy!
How long will I have to read the book?
I’m budgeting one week for each person, which will help ensure as many people as possible have a chance to read the book. If you need a little more time, just email me and let me know!
Do I have to pay shipping costs?
By shipping via media mail, the cost is very low ($2-$3), but you’d like the cost reimbursed, please email me a copy of your receipt and I’ll be happy to cover it.
Do I still need to pre-order the book?
Pre-ordering a copy is still very much encouraged! The copy you’ll be reading is an uncorrected proof (with typos and other errors) that will circulate among a handful of readers, so pre-ordering will ensure you get your own copy to keep.
Can I sign up if I live outside the U.S.?
Due to mail times being less reliable outside the U.S. (and since this is an experiment), I’m keeping this group to U.S. and Canadian residents only.
What if I don’t get to read the book?
Because of time constraints, this one of those situations where the earlier you sign up, the better, because I’ll be going in the order I receive names.
